Coast Guard Family Organization ("CGFO") is a nonprofit corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board is geographically spread throughout the United States and Europe. The organization was originally founded in 2008 and first incorporated in 2009. At this time, the organization is not a 501(c)(3) organization despite its nonprofit status. The Board is currently working toward tax exempt status, which purpose will be to benefit donors in the way of tax deductible matters and also to enable the organization to apply for various grants to better support our mission.
The focus of CGFO's programs is to advocate for USCG families, offer resources and provide support to spouses and dependents of Coast Guard personnel. For more information on the purpose of the CGFO, please visit our Mission page.

Coast Guard Family Organization, Inc. is a nonprofit Massachusetts Corporation and has not in any official way endorsed, authorized, or approved by the United States Coast Guard, or the Department of Homeland Security or any other federal entity at this time. This is an organization run by a Board of civilian volunteers currently in the United States and Europe.
